
NON-ALIGNED MOVEMENT
Established in 1961 in Belgrade the Non-Aligned movement is a group of states that are not formally aligned with or against any major power bloc. The purpose of the movement has been to ensure “the national independence, sovereignty and the territorial integrity” of the respective member states in their struggle against imperialism, colonialism, racism, and all forms of foreign aggression, occupation, domination, interference or hegemony against great power and bloc politics.
As of 2012 the movement has 120 members and its headquarters are located in Jakarta, Indonesia.
